Celebrity judge Neale Whitaker from the award-winning renovation series “The Block,” and the Editor of Belle Magazine, is set to be the Master of Ceremonies at the 2014 Think Brick Awards.
Whitaker, well-known for his accredited role as the Editor-in-chief of Belle Magazine, which is read by thousands of Australian home owners and renovators, will also be guest editing the annual Think Brick Awards Commemorative Booklet that will showcase all the award entries for 2014.
The stylish judge will MC at Australia’s richest design and architecture awards at Melbourne’s glitzy Crown Palladium on August 8th to a crowd of more than 300 people.
Whitaker’s role on the hit series, now in its ninth season, has made him a much-loved media icon with Australian viewers tuning in see him and his fellow judges, Darren Palmer and Shaynna Blaze judge the renovations of five Australian couples.
He is considered the perfect choice as this year’s Think Brick Awards’ MC according to Think Brick Australia CEO, Elizabeth McIntyre.

The Awards are attended by Australian architectural firms, representatives from top Australian brick, concrete masonry and roof tile manufacturers, and where previous celebrity MC’s have included Eddie Maguire and Peter Colquhoun.
Think Brick Australia admit to taking steps to ensure the 2014 Awards have an international flavour, which include securing Neil Whitaker as its MC.
Now in its eighth year, the Think Brick Awards has built a reputation for recognising and celebrating the very best of clay bricks and concrete masonry and for the first time, this year will also celebrate roof tile built excellence.

The Think Brick Awards are Australia’s richest design and architecture awards. They recognise excellence and innovation within the clay brick and concrete masonry industry across five categories including the Horbury Hunt Commercial Award; the Horbury Hunt Residential Award; the Bruce Mackenzie Landscape Award; the Kevin Borland Commercial and Residential Masonry Award; and the Roof Tile Excellence Award.
The winners will be announced at the Gala Awards dinner on Friday, August 8 2014 at Palladium at Crown, Melbourne.
