Horbury Hunt Previous Winners

The Horbury Hunt Award recognises excellence and innovation in brick craftsmanship and also acknowledges the role architects, designers, landscape designers, builders, masonry contractors and brick manufacturers play in achieving that excellence and innovation in built projects.

The 2008 winner was the Mornington Centre with a High Commendation going to The Nigel Peck Centre for Learning and Leadership, Melbourne Grammar School.

Dover Road, Rose Bay - Hill Thalis Architecture + Urban Projects
On a compact urban site in Rose Bay, Hill Thalis Architecture has designed an apartment block tailored to the site’s particular conditions comprising a diverse mix of accommodation including residential units, shops and a carpark. Read more>

Jack Floyd Reserve - Hill Thalis Architecture + Urban Projects
Jack Floyd Reserve is the western anchor to the City of Sydney’s broader upgrading of the centre of Redfern. The project transforms a neglected triangle of left over space near Redfern Station into a revitalised public place, providing a much-needed green space at the intersection of Botany Road and Redfern Street. Chapel of the Holy Name - DesignInc
The 400-seat Chapel of the Holy Name at Adelaide’s St Ignatius College features a striking oval floorplan, which is set out on a number of different but joining radii. The oval design concept was developed by the architects, DesignInc to express a feeling of being embraced by the building. Read more>

Jacaranda Square - ASPECT Studios | McGregor Westlake Architects | Deuce Design
