Three outstanding projects were recognised in the 2009 Horbury Hunt Award for excellence and innovation in brick craftsmanship as part of the Think Brick Awards.

Chief Executive Officer Linda Ginger believes this year’s outstanding field of nominated projects reveals the widespread interest in rediscovering some of the lost craftsmanship associated with traditional building materials like clay bricks.

“The jury was impressed by the level of innovation shown through the winning projects in all three categories, with all the nominated entries making a very strong case for the versatility of clay face brick across a range of residential, commercial and landscape projects.” Ginger says.

The Horbury Hunt Award was initiated by the Horbury Hunt Club Incorporated and is being managed by Think Brick Australia, the peak body representing Australia’s brick manufacturers.
