LindField House
The house at Lindfield was undertaken under a Complying Development, with building envelope as a driving factor. As such the concept was to have a continuous brick façade broken up with render panels that give relief to the walls and accentuate horizontal lines. Raked horizontal joints only enhance the sense of horizontality and create subtle shadows in the joints giving the building depth. Protrusions such as awnings or deep terraces such as at the front enhance the monumentality achieved by brick.
