Bricks & Pavers - Australia's low maintenance building materials. Inspiring home designs & information.
The research behind the tool is based on decades of data collected by the Bureau of Meteorology combined with research on fundamental design principals.
Working with a group of architects, designers and researchers, Think Brick Australia has developed the Climate Design Wizard. The wizard has been created to help the building and construction industry select building strategies that maximize energy efficiency, thermal comfort and water conservation in 27 distinct climate locations around Australia.
The wizard is based on decades of data collected by the Bureau of Meteorology with insights gained from Think Brick’s research into Australian building styles (carried out with the University of Newcastle) and suggests ways in which thermal comfort can be gained by taking advantage of the local climate.
Full research papers for each location are available for download – register with us now to access these papers.
