Design Concept
- Housing with combination of different cultures
- Shared-living space - Co-Housing - friendly environment for low income people
- 40% of the site is open and public space
- Modern housing with some traditional features from Asia
- Community space for neighbouring
Design Features
Location of each house as well as the community garden is designed with careful considerations of local climate, neighboring conditions.
Housing
- Courtyard house - traditional housing in Asia
- Shared spaces within Co-Housing include central courtyard which is also outdoor living space, two side gardens, one indoor dinning space, laundry and storage rooms.
- Each house
§ Separated from each other and used privately by different people.
§ Designed with all necessary spaces such as living room, bed room, kitchen, toilet and bathroom. All kitchens face to the courtyard so that they can be opened to create totally outdoor living space for gathering of all residents within Co-Housing
§ Kitchens, living spaces and bathroom are on ground floor, bedrooms are on upper floor
§ Different design to suit different people: one with bedroom on ground floor is for senior people; one with two bedrooms on upper level is for family use.
Community Garden and Public Space
- Open for registered members from local area
- Public spaces which are on both sides of community garden provide sitting spaces as well as some public planting pots
- Pedestrian pathway is the linkage between two roads as well as green space of the site
