Clifton Hill Rail Bridge
The Clifton Hill Rail bridge extension was primarily intended to duplicate the track between Clifton Hill and Westgarth stations.
To fit the original bridge’s use of pressed red brick, Selkirks pressed red brick was used as a veneer over the structural concrete columns.
Selkirk still manufacture their pressed red bricks in the traditional method maintaining their heritage appeal.
The combination of traditional building material with modern design have come together to create a fantastic looking bridge that blends well with its surroundings.
