Student Award 2008
This year the About Face design competition will also incorporate a student competition open to all architecture students across Australia.Following a pilot competition in 2007 with The University of South Australia, the 2008 About Face Student Competition included entries from Curtin University of Technology and RMIT University.
Over 80 students worked to briefs developed by each of the universities focussing on a specific context and location. Finalists were then short listed, that exemplified a level of ingenuity and innovation in regard to brick use. The winner was 3rd Year architecture student, Shane Winter from Curtin University of Technology.
High Commendations were awarded to:
- Giulio Sampoali and Mastura Othman, RMIT University
- Brett Wittingslow, RMIT University
- Georgina Willis, Curtin University of Technology
