The Australian Brewery
The Australian Brewery is a multipurpose venue, with a bar, restaurant, night club, gaming room and pool room. The brewery is an example of a era gone by with brilliant internal and external brick works. The Australian Hotel and Brewery was officially opened in July 2010. The hotel and brewery has been constructed within a large shed that housed a previous smash repair business.
In mid 2009 the building works started with the aim to provide a great meeting place for Hills locals and tourists alike. Bricks were chosen to provide that rustic decor that appears to have been a part of the building fabric from year one. It exudes a natural & timeless appeal. The concept of the 'Shed' watering hole has been realised with the PGH Timeless Sandstocks Seaforth and Balmain being used extensively as the main internal wall lining and sets up a brilliant backdrop for the concrete formed bar and the 'Yucca Tree' area. Soaring brick pillars and walls separate the original open plan floor into more intimate areas, mute the generated noise levels and provide a wall surface that looks good, feels good and will last 'good'.
